Well, in my continuing struggle with the choice of mechanisms of expression on the interweb, the latest try is to use the quickpost WordPress plugin. The idea is the same as Tumblr — you use a bookmarklet to quickly post tidbits of information, usually a quote, a photo, a video or a link. This is blogging for the hyperactive generation and it seems to work: my account on Tumblr shows much more activity than here, if that is a testament to anything.
Of course, Tumblr still looks so, so much better than anything else out there…

After 4 years of part-time blogging on b2evolution, officially the world’s worst blogging platform, I’m moving on to WordPress. Since there’s quite a bit of traffic flowing to the old content, switching is not an easy process, which is why I’m leaving b2 still in place, but all new posts will be going to WordPress.
It’s increasingly difficult to figure out what goes (or supposed to go) to this blog. I’ve got a twitter account, a flickr account, a facebook account, I share posts via Google Reader with some people, and share links via del.icio.us with some other people. Oh and recently Tumblr got some action from me as well.
In theory at least this blog should be combining all of that in some way or another, but there simply aren’t solutions good and simple enough to make that happen.
Still, the pattern that emerges is a interesting: the blog serves for communication with people I don’t know, and all other services are much, much personal where communication is limited to the people I know only. But that’s changing too.
